Coffee: A Love Affair

Oh coffee, why do I fill my cup so full I can’t stir without spilling? And then I douse my tray with you instead of getting your caffeinated goodness into my body! I understand now why sometimes you try to choke me, since I seem to be the worst at keeping you in my mug, and then transferring you to my mouth.
I need to breathe, though, so it would help if you weren’t trying to jump into my lungs.

Why drink you at all? I need you to fill in the gaps between my brain cells, to make the firing neurons work to prevent asking, “Wait, isn’t that the guy from that one movie? You know. The one with the other guy who was on that show we watched.” Mm-hmm. That guy.

May you all have a wonderful, productive day filled with coffee and creativity.
