Doing the Thing

It's official: I'm going to try for fifty thousand words by November 30. To be honest, I'm hoping for seventy-some thousand and a Happily Ever After ending. One can hope, right?
I haven't won NaNoWriMo in several years, but I'm going to do it this year, just so I can get Breaking All the Rules off my conscience. This is the fifth try, y'all. If my betas still think Drexel and Robbie don't fit into the romance genre after five rewrites, that's it - they're going in the trunk of Nevermore.
I'll do my best to blog this month. If I accidentally skip a blog, it's because I'm making other words happen and this task completely slipped my mind. If this sounds familiar, that's because I've totally forgotten all about blogs while I'm on vacation or on a deadline. Thanks for understanding.
See you on the other side of the week - I may be writing, but there's this other thing looming on the horizon that I'll need to celebrate, or commiserate, come Friday.
