Down in It

I can’t seem to find my way out of the maze of my own thoughts today. I need to write, which requires perspective. I’m too busy dealing with my own shit. Nine Inch Nails summed it up well:

So instead, I’ve been reading a lot. I finished Undertow, the second of Brooklyn Ray’s Port Lewis Witches series. I was hoping for a more climactic ending, but it was still a satisfying read. I’m already hooked on Donovan’s story from the brief afterward. Cannot wait for the next installment!

Now, I’m reading Salt Magic, Skin Magic by Lee Welch, a novel that reminds me of the Porthkennack novels. It’s set in Victorian England and full of tales of fae, demon, and material magic. Just what I need to avoid thinking about my own problems for awhile.

How are you spending this wonderful Saturday?
