Sometimes I can’t tell if I’m overwhelmed or just lazy. I have a week off from the day job and, instead of being productive and finishing my current story, I’m taking long walks with the dogs, reading writing forum posts, or staring into space, daydreaming.
I have a lot on my mind and a ton I should be doing. Instead of picking items off my to-do list one by one, I’m wasting time. I know I’ll do what I have scheduled, like meeting with contractors or going to appointments. Otherwise, no guarantees.
First on my agenda for today, then: Find a way to be productive.
