Edie Montreux
Legit

I'm having a Sammy Connelly moment. He's the main character in Spread Your Wings, which begins as he touches down in Sarajevo, 1992 for his first news assignment. First credit card. First legit job. First international flight.
Yesterday, I rented a post office box. I now have a legit address for my author business. Going to the post office during a pandemic isn't something I wanted to do, but it was something I needed to do. Adulting - go me!
I missed a line on the form, the one for type of business. I think it's one of the first times I've said it out loud.
"Author."
The clerk responded, "I was going to say that," which made me smile beneath my mask. Do I look like an author? I AM an author. Even though I have nothing to show for it right now, I'm making a comeback this spring and summer, and by fall, I'll have new releases out there.
I'm an author. Seems legit.
