New Year, No Time

One thing I forgot when planning for the New Year: when will I have time to blog? Saturday didn’t feel like Saturday, so that’s my excuse for missing the final blog post of the year. If you follow me on social media, I posted some Queen pics and a nice send-off to 2016 (GTFO and don’t come back).

I know that’s no excuse. I have no more excuses. I have deadlines for short stories on the horizon, and a manuscript to polish. I have tons of writing prompts and excercises to fill my days and meet my daily word counts. I’m having fun.

Somewhere along the way, the blog lost its luster. Sometimes I grow weary of my own thoughts and would rather seek solace with the voices in my head. Too often, blogging seems like a conversation with myself, and maybe an audience of Ro.

I hope to restore some joy to this routine in 2017. In the meantime, let’s all enjoy a little more Moet with Queen, if only in memories:
