Procrastination: Once More, with Memes

Yesterday morning, I woke up feeling like this:

Saturday is blog day, and so that^^^ turned into feeling like this:

Which led to reading two professional books, Admired: 21 Ways to Double Your Value by Mark Thompson and Bonita S. Thompson, and I Moved Your Cheese: For Those Who Refuse to Live as Mice in Someone Else’s Maze by Deepak Malhotra. It’s been a long time since I haven’t had to worry about some aspect of work on the weekend, so I had some free time to read. About work. Go figure.

Oh, and we played Gears 3. Fifteen rounds of King of the Hill to 240 on Mercy with all hammerburst weapon loads so we could build up our hammerburst kills. I’m so close to onyx: less than 500 to go. Can’t wait to go back to my lancer so I can cut those bitches up when they get too close.

And then it was bedtime and I still had not blogged…

According to Admired, one of the virtues to being admired is to feel guilty when missing deadlines and not meeting goals. That’s a given for me. I feel guilty about everything I do that’s less than perfect. But then I found this cute little guy who made me feel better:

So today, I blogged first thing… After showering, of course. And an hour of reading through Tumblr and Twitter and Face Book.

Now I have an outline to write (you know, the outline I intended to finish in January? For the pirate fantasy? Yeah…that one) and a Super Bowl to watch.

I’m going to make Yoda proud. Happy Super Bowl Sunday, everyone!
