Ten Book Deficit

I need to read ten more books before the end of the year. Goodreads tells me I'm five books behind schedule. Can I still do it? Sure. Will I? Stay tuned, dear readers.

I can tell you I have several books already in progress, though, which I will probably finish before the end of the year. I'm reading Red, White, and Royal Blue on the treadmill. I have a OneNote companion to Getting Things Done waiting for me to sit down at my computer for a moment. I've been reading Donald Maas's Writing the Breakout Novel for the better part of the year - I'm almost to 40%. I also started 5,000 Words per Hour by Chris Fox on the recommendation of one of my writing buddies, and then remembered I was reading the damn Maas book. When I finish Maas, I'll get back to Fox.

After that, I have so many great books by people I call my friends but who probably don't remember me. And then, I have books by my writing group friends who probably wish I'd vanish off the face of the earth because I'm such a naive fangirl. I love my peeps.

Can I read ten more books this year? You bet. Will I have time to read ten more books this year after all the extra hours to pull off this crazy day-job project? I'll let you know on the first Saturday in January.
