Thank You

It's that time of year again. Time to say thanks to everyone who has helped me get one step closer to my writing dream.

Thanks to MLR Press for taking a chance on me. November 28 is my one-year book anniversary for my debut: Spread Your Wings. I signed contracts for two more books this year: The King's Physician, coming soon, and Pika Perfect, coming next year. I love working with my editor, and I can't wait to see where we go in 2020.

Thanks to my writing buddy for continuing to support me through the dark times when I think my writing sucks. It happens at least once a manuscript, if not more. Thanks for answering all my medical questions, too! My characters end up needing some kind of medical treatment once a book, and I always manage to get it wrong. You always get me back on track!

Thanks to my bestie for sharing Steven Universe with me. Nothing reinforces empathy and humans' capacity for change like a progressive children's show. I laughed. I cried. I almost threw my phone across the room when I thought I was rolling to season 5 and ended up on Adventure Time season 1 instead. Thanks for being the best kind of human, bestie.

Thanks to my readers who clicked the links to the blog and follow along to see what I'm doing each week. I can't wait to share more of my stories with you!

Thanks to Lemur for keeping me sane while I try to do all the things at once. Work. Writing. Taking care of the dogs. Binge-watching Steven Universe in my one month of free Hulu after surgery. He's my rock through it all. I couldn't do any of it without him.

Who are you grateful for this holiday season?
