The Luck of the Irish

Please forgive the very late blog post. It’s been one of those weeks. Surviving and making it to the weekend will be a huge success.
I’ve worked late three of four days. I thought it was Wednesday on Tuesday, and Thursday on Wednesday. Friday is St. Patrick’s Day, so there was no mistaking today for Friday. A week with two Thursdays, though. Those weeks suck, even when the second Thursday is the start of the NCAA basketball tournament.
My eyes hurt from staring at screens. My brain hurts from the stupid. The stupid, it burns us. I don’t have enough brain power left to write what I WANT to write.

Tonight, I need to focus on what I’m going to SAY tomorrow. I’m leading a transgender panel discussion. Me. This girl. Uh-huh. Not joking.
I HATE PUBLIC SPEAKING.
But I love my peeps, so I will moderate this discussion. I will also give voice to the transgender women who fear for their own safety if they come forward. It’s a scary time to be a woman, and even more so to be a transgender woman. I will do my best to serve my sisters.

May the luck of the Irish be with us all! Happy St. Patrick’s Day, my friends. I think “gobshites” is my new favorite word:
