World Kindness Day

Today is the day to be kind to one another. It’s been a rough couple of days for Marvel fans (RIP, Stan Lee) and a rough week for the M/M romance community. We are sorry to see Ethan Day go. I wish I could have met him in person. One day, my friend. There will be a time and a place for us, no matter what my favorite Queen song says (https://youtu.be/_Jtpf8N5IDE).

My grandma taught me everything I needed to know about kindness. While her favorite saying was, “If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all,” she showed her kindness by doing. She cared for animals and children, and always helped me see the other side so I wouldn’t act on my anger. She would have been 107 years old this month. I strive to be like her every day, and fall far short. She was the kindest soul I’ve ever met.

What the world needs is a little more kindness, not just today but every day. If we all try a little harder, maybe we won’t have to try so hard to not say anything at all.
